The APHC 2023 is pleased to announce that it will be providing bursaries to delegates who are keen to attend the conference in Incheon, Korea held from 4th to 7th October 2023.
There are a couple of bursaries being offered but this will be restricted to delegates from developing economies (i.e. Low Income and Lower Middle Income economies only). Please refer to the Registration Page for more information on the classification by World Bank). The bursary will be utilized to offset Registration Fee, Accommodation and/or Flight Ticket only. Please read the following instructions carefully for the application process.
Rosalie Shaw Travel Scholarship (Application Closed)
1 recipient will be receiving an amount of up to USD 2,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an individual member of APHN for at least 3 years and a current individual member at the time of the conference (i.e. member since 2021 till 2023)
- Display leadership qualities and works in a palliative care service
- Contribution to palliative care development in your region of work or residence
- Must submit an abstract for the APHC 2023
- Must submit a report on the benefits of attendance within 2 months after attending APHC 2023
- Has not received any grants from APHN for the past 3 years
- Past recipients of this bursary will not be considered and preference will be given to members who have not received sponsorship of any kind for attending regional and international palliative care conferences
General Bursaries (Application Closed)
15 recipients will be receiving an amount of up to USD 1,000 each
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an individual member of APHN for at least 3 years and a current individual member at the time of the conference (i.e. member since 2021 till 2023)

10 recipients will be receiving an amount of up to USD 1,000 each
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a past/current Lien Collaborative faculty member or participant
- Must be an individual member of APHN at the time of the conference (i.e. be a member in 2023)
- Must submit a report on the benefits of attendance within 2 months after attending APHC 2023
- Preference will be given to members who have not received sponsorship of any kind for attending regional and international palliative care conferences
EPEC-Paediatric Bursary
Korean Recipient : Capped at USD $500
- Registration for EPEC Workshop and Main Conference
- Accommodation (Max 4 nights)
International Recipient : Capped at USD $1,000
- Registration for EPEC Workshop and Main Conference
- Accommodation (Max 4 nights)
- Flight Ticket (Economy Class Only)

- Approximately 30 people will be accepted
- Must register for the EPEC workshop and the full Main Conference
- Scholarship reimbursement coverage is limited to the items stated above
- Proof of receipts are required for submission to APHN for validation
- Reimbursement amount will be dependent on the submitted receipts, limited to the respective maximum amount of USD $500 or USD $1,000
- Preference will be given to APHN members (You may sign up for APHN Individual Membership at https://aphn.org/membership/).
- Preference will be given to delegates from developing economies (i.e. Low Income and Lower Middle Income economies, based on World Bank’s classification system).
Preference will be given to delegates who did not receive other sponsorship for this conference.
